Vindrà la mort i tindrà els teus ulls
aquesta mort que ens acompanya
des del matí fins al vespre, insomne,
sorda, com un vell penediment
o un vici absurd. Els teus ulls
seran una vana paraula,
un crit callat, un silenci.
Així els veus cada matí
quan, tu sola, t'inclines sobre
el mirall. O estimada esperança,
aquell dia sabrem també nosaltres
que ets la vida i el no res.
Per a tots la mort té una mirada.
Vindrà la mort i tindrà els teus ulls.
Serà com abandonar un vici,
com veure en el mirall
resorgir una cara morta,
com escoltar uns llavis tancats.
Baixarem muts cap a l'abisme.
